When eating 'well' may just be the starting point...

Aug 03, 2026

And it’s August already!!

As there are a few newbies following me, I thought it timely to reintroduce myself & outline how I can help you.

You may imagine that nutritionist services are just about helping you eat a ‘better’ diet, or about helping you lose weight. But those things are just the tip of the iceberg.

Lots of people already eat ‘well’ but they’re still gaining weight, or unable to lose it.

Lots of people may have made positive lifestyle changes but they’re still exhausted, aching, unable to sleep, or can’t shake their low mood.

Some people may be taking meds, including HRT, but still find that their reflux requires regular Gaviscon, or their joint and muscular aches still necessitate painkillers, or they’re still lacking in confidence, joy and motivation. Or they may still be fatigued, having regular hot flushes, or still can’t shift the belly fat.

Private clients come to me for all kinds of reasons, & it’s rarely just because they want to learn how to incorporate more salads!

They may have been referred by their GP, or another healthcare professional, because they’ve decided that enough is enough & they don’t want to keep increasing (or starting) meds for blood pressure or disordered blood sugar, or any painkillers or steroids for any form of arthritis.

Perhaps a gut condition has meant that their diet has become very limited - & they’re still experiencing symptoms, & they want to feel ‘normal’ again.

Maybe HRT is just part of the picture, & a holistic approach is recognised as creating a solid foundation for future vitality.

I see lots of different people, for lots of different reasons. & if I don’t think that I’m the right person for you, I regularly refer to other nutritionists, dieticians or nutritional therapies who perhaps have the specialism you need.

So if you’re curious as to whether following a series of lifestyle changes could change your whole world (it does happen!!), let me know & we can pop a free 30 minutes in the diary.

For those of you in menopause looking for group support, September is chock-a-block with opportunities.

On the 9th September the next menopause café will be running. We’re at a new venue – QVH managed offices on Victoria Street in Douglas - & because of the generosity of QVH I’m able to reduce the joining fee to just £2. Full details to follow, but please mark 6pm on the 9th in your diary for now if you fancy a relaxed chat in a safe space and the opportunity to share your experiences.

On September 15th the next Menofest is being held at Ramsey Commissioners. As usual there’ll be a wealth of experience & expertise, with sessions from a GP, a nurse, a paracise/yoga instructor and yours truly. More info to follow on this too, but for now, pencil in & look forward to 2-3 hours of content and involvement, starting from 6.30pm.

Finally, on September 21st I’ll be offering another round of Menomelt - my 3-week course to kickstart weight-loss/weight management, and make a massive (& I mean massive) difference to any menopause symptoms.

It’s 3 weeks of mealtime support, live engagement, illumination, Q&A and lots of ‘a-ha’ moments. I’ve already had a handful of people ask to be added to the waitlist for this. If you’d like to be contacted directly once sign-up is available, let me know.

& that’s it for now. Whatever ails you, let’s have a chat, & if I’m not the right person for you, I’ll find them for you.
