Some dates for your diary

Jul 06, 2026

Just a brief note today as it's a local holiday for the Manx national day. Notwithstanding that I have a couple of dates for your diary.

Firstly, a quick reminder that at 6pm tomorrow (7th July) we are holding the 2nd menopause cafe at Bonjour Creperie on Ridgeway Street, Douglas. (Venue change due to double booking!)

If you have unanswered questions, want to vent or share your experiences, or just sit quietly in a safe, supportive space, please join us tomorrow evening. Cover charge of just £5 (for the venue & teas) which you can pay in advance via this link. Otherwise please bring cash.

On a larger scale, are you aware of the huge wellness festival taking place on the Isle of Man on July 19th? And it's not just a regular old festival.

At 2pm on the 19th, in commemoration of the Manx origins of Pilates, there will be a world record attempt. Can we break the record for the biggest ever Pilates class of 3,486 participants?

As well as being part of history & this global Pilates homecoming, you can enjoy and be inspired by a huge range of speakers, classes and therapists, including yours truly!

I'll be on the main stage at noon talking about 'How to die later rather than sooner', which seemed appropriate given the 100+ years of Pilates & its great history in extending health & wellbeing.

Having an impressive healthspan (rather than lifespan), however, isn't just about exercise and nutrition. & to learn any more than that, you'll have to come along to hear!

Other than me there are a number of classes, workshops and therapies to enjoy as well as food options, a kids' play area and celebrity speaker John Rhys-Davies. My socials are also telling me to expect Noel Edmonds on site!

Full details are here & how to get your ticket. If you do attend, please do say 'hi'.
